Chapel helps maintain Yonsei's identity as a Christian university and shares teachings about the Christian virtues of truth and freedom and how to lead a Christian life. As a platform for spiritual learning, Chapel unites all members of the Yonsei community, including undergraduate and graduate students and the faculty. In order to foster a sense of community at Yonsei, Chapel invites not only Christian ministers but also experts in the Bible and Christianity on which Yonsei's ideology was founded, as well as those from inside and outside the school who have lived exemplary lives to come and speak.

Currently, the Chaplain's Office holds regular General Chapels and Worship Chapels. During General Chapel, guest lectures deliver talks on specific topics, also often discussing their journey of living out Christian values and worldviews and connecting them to areas of work or academics. As part of General Chapels, Performance Chapels, during which Yonsei alumni are invited to share their stories and advice, are regularly held. Worship Chapels are typical Protestant worship services designed specifically for Christians who are familiar with church worship services.

All undergraduate students are required to attend Chapel for at least four semesters before they graduate. At th Sinchon Campus, General Chapels for studens from all departments are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during 2nd and 3rd periods and English Chapels for UIC students are held on Wednesdays during 5th period. At the International Campus, beginning in the Fall Semester 2014, English Chapels are held during 2nd and 3rd periods on Tuesdays, Worship Chapels are held during 2nd and 3rd periods on Wednesdays, and General Chapels are held during 2nd and 3rd periods on Thursdays.
